Custom design process
Consultation - During the consultations we will discuss your design ideas and collaborate to come up with an initial design and price estimate. Consultations can either be done in person or via email. We encourage you to bring or email us pictures to help us know what inspires you. By showing which elements of the images you like or dislike we can design the jewelry that speaks to your heart. We will provide a not-to-exceed estimate after collaborating a design.
Deposit - We require 50% non-refundable deposit before beginning any work on a custom project.
Design - At GemWorks, we will fabricate those designs that are best created by this method, use hand carving or computer-aided design for those that are best done by these methods. Our goal, of course, is to ensure you are delighted with your custom piece.
Review - We will provide you with an opportunity to review the design at the appropriate time if required.
Creation - Once the design has been rendered by us and approved by you, we will start creating your one-of-a-kind piece.
Time - most custom designs are completed in approximately two to four weeks from time of final design approval.
